THE REGULAR IN IRREGULARITIES

The regular in irregularities. 
The beauty behind the flaws. 
The turmoil beneath the smiles. 
Blindfolded, we are. Blurry visions, we have. 
We do not try to see the good in all. Yet, we claim all life do to us, is to enthrall.... 
I say; we're the cause of our woes. 

 Many a times, I get body shamed. Before I clocked two decades on mother earth, I used to cry when anyone called me thin. I would stare at the image the mirror reflected;checking her flaws and neglecting the 'so-obvious' beauty. I've seen so many people get body shamed also. Some called fat, some called ugly, some are said to have a crooked dentition..... So many scenario! 
I have heard of people committing suicide 'cos they were body shamed. I've heard so many slipped into depression, some tried to fight back using violence, but ended up in jail.... 
People tend to forget they aren't perfect. Everyone's got flaws. I believe the society got our minds, DOMESTICATED! We've been made to believe some particular features are the definition of perfect, while some are definition of being ugly... 
We're all unique. I have no specific definition for beauty... But I would say: BEAUTY IS YOU. STAND IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR, FORGET THE SOCIETY 'S DEFINITION AND ACCEPT THE PERSON THE MIRROR REFLECTS! 

 SAY NO TO BODYSHAMING!  FIND SOLACE WITHIN!  YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!

    For I forgot it lies within,
    An unjust world we sought to live
    Admonitions of such degree
    Focuses our minds, on mere grin

    Castigated
    I sought to reach beyond the screen
    Thinking of the perfect life, they want of me
    Forgetting, the real beauty lies within

A LETTER TO MY EX

The moon glared. Stars fluttered. Lips smiled. Love happened. The differences were so obvious. But we thought we could focus, On the path of love, We chose to thread. Flames of love over burnt. Wrecked havoc and costs. Ego was what we couldn't curb. Toxicity was what we called fun! I felt inferior and weak. I looked pale and bleak. I tried to be meek. _Life's showing us its true color already. As kids, we've seen more than an average adult would. Hustling real, at such a young age. We've got a sense of responsibility at this tender age. Our 'supposed be soft' palms are as hard as an adult's sole. Our melanin would have been that type that pops, but the everyday  toiling wouldn't let it. We  toil the earth to the brim. Our sweats waters the the greens(plants).  We're closer to mother nature than any other person(s).  We ask this question ; WHY CAN'T EVERYONE HAVE LUXURIES? It hurts to see our parents suffer...our siblings, looking tattered...
